Any Casual Work-Sydney Area
Thu, 17 June 2004, 07:06 pmHi,
I liv in Sydney and I am looking for some casual work in the theatre industry. I have worked as a stage manager on two productions, have held a lead role in two others and recently directed a production of Patrick Marber's Dealer's Choice. I have done this for an amateur group, but am looking to expand into professional/semi-professional. I am after some casual work doing anything behind the scenes.
I might add, although I think it should be largely irrelevant, that am 16 years old, and intend on entering the profession when I comnplete school. I have done all of the above while at school, obviously.
I can be contacted on 0415432180.
Thanks!

Re: Any Casual Work-Sydney Area
Hi Jason,
Goodluck with it all.
Unfortunately a lot of the theatres and venues we work in we are unable to have any crew under the age of 18 due to insurance regulations. Otherwise I am sure there would be something I could help you with
Thanks
Greg

Re: Any Casual Work-Sydney Area
Hi,
I am looking for a stage manager for early 2005. I am putting on a play which will run at either the Old FItzroy or the Darlinghurst Theatre. It is a comedy. I am a TV/ radio producer who has had several shows produced in Sydney. This would be my fourth.
There will be some money for a weekly wage (won't know till September how much) and all expenses will be paid. The rest will be profit share.
I am not really too bothered about age or experience, just as long as you are efficient and organised and able to deal with actors and crew and not get too stressed!
Please let me know if you are interested or need more information.
Cheers
Tim
