Hey, I need a job...badly. If anyone can find me information on a paying acting, or any other kind of job, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Honey, the resources are there for YOU to find them. We are all struggling and we all want to make it. The difference is that some of us stand up and do things ourselves, while others like you try to get someone else to do them. I am so sick and tired of everyone (esp the 12/13yr olds) coming on here and expecting us to make them famous. Expecting us to find them jobs.

Find your own jobs! Sorry if I am sounding harsh but its reality!! You do the work and you get the rewards!

We are not asking you to give up your dream. We all have dreams but sometimes they do not become reality. Reality is often a full time office job and acting is a part-time hobby of which we are passionate about!!!

You need to realise that posting messages on here asking for acting jobs do not automatically a famous film director is going to want you desperately. How about community theatre? I have been involved with a wide variety of theatre groups in Perth and I can proudly say I have developed a HUGE amount since starting off in a chorus role in a musical 2 years ago. I have been selected for roles that have emotionally drained me but the reward you get at the end....a job well done of course and the applause of the audience....doesn't get any better!

It's an absolute addiction.....and if you can find satisfaction within that you have achieved a lot more than whinging about other peoples (very reasonable) replies on this website.

If, as you say, you "have made the cut".....well??? Are in a box office smash yet????

lol did I once tell you to give up on your dreams? NO! I just told you that its a lot of hard work and you cant expect someone to do all the work for you. I told you that you dont post that you want a job and then pow it magically appears. It doesnt work like that.

And if you are here for the money like you say then you have certainly chosen the wrong profession!! There is no reaon to try to insult me, it just proves how immature you really are. And you expect people to offer you jobs when you act like that? For all you know I could be a successful actor or director and after that performance you could have ruined your career. This industry is all about making the right impression, and you certainly didnt achieve that here.

Firstly, I don't think she said to give up on your dream. If your dream is to be famous, go audition for Australian Idol - it's a lot easier to make it big through there than it is to act.

Secondly, if people post on this site looking for work, then they ARE NOT working hard - they are taking the lazy man's route.

Thirdly, Although I doubt Drama_Queen was trying to 'take away' any paying jobs that are on here, I know personally that I'm reluctant to give away audition information (unless its an open casting call) because then you would be in competition with ANOTHER person, and besides, they tend to rely on you too much for information afterwards.

Finally - most girls who post here, and I believe ms Kari French is one of them, is after fame or fortune or both. Acting is for the love of it - not because you think it will fast track you to Nicole Kidman standards, or earn a steady income. If you want big money to perform, be a stripper. Seriously, they get a fair amount of money....

Last of all - I can't respond to most of that post because I don't understand barely any of it. Insults don't work if the receiver doesn't know what you are talking about, and it just shows what a bad person you really are.

Please stop insulting each other.
You are not producing anything positive, instead sending out very negative messages about what types of people you are.
If some naive person does ask for roles to be given them on a silver platter, why use nastiness to teach them that it is not that simple?
Has anyone appointed you to act for the profession?
