just moved to Melbourne
Wed, 18 Feb 2004, 10:55 amHi everyone, I have just moved to Melbourne and I am requiring some information about getting into the theatre profession in Vic. I am 21 and I completed drama at High School, I loved it and wish to pursue this as a job. If someone could give me some hints about the industry it would be very much appreciated. Thank you, Nikki

I'm a Co-Manager at the Australian Centre of Performing Arts. If you look up our website www.acopa.com.au, and open the links page there is lots of information that I think will be relevant to you.
If you are looking to brush up your skills we offer a couple of classes that I think will benefit you. We have one class which just brushes up general acting skills, and another which is based around Audition Techniques and cold reads, these are really good if you are thinking of going to auditions.
