Hi Bridget,
You can start with this web-site by:
A/ Go to the "companies" tab at the top of a screen; select "auditions" fom the drop-down; then look for those in QLD. As QLD is a big state, this may not help much, or
B/ Go to the "what's on" tab at the top of a screen; select ''view company" fom the drop-down; then in the third field from the top, type in your suburb; and click on the associated "Search" button. (Of course, try a few near-by suburbs too). When you find some, contact them and find out when they next will be holding auditions (and for what). Turn up for their info sessions. After that, who knows?
Either way, go out and sell yourself.
If you don't get a part, please don't be discouraged. You may be good, but don't fit the image that the casting panel had for their interpretation of that particular show. Keep trying!
I'm in Melbourne, so can't help you much more. Sorry...
Cheers,
Russell
