Re: Teen- where to start?
If you'd like to audition for one of the shows that's on next season, I can give you some help if you like. Feel free to email me about it. I have a fairly good idea of which companies are the best to work with, and might be able to help you with the audition itself.
One idea, if you live anywhere near the Altona area, would be to audition for Peter Pan, which you would have seen on the Theatre People website.
For any more help, feel free to email me. My address is rocshamqueen@hotmail.com

Re: Teen- where to start?
Dear Teen,
Go and audition at the any of the amateur theatre organisations here in melbourne. Some excellent ones and they are ALWAYS looking for new people.
Theatrepeople.com is a great way to start looking, also check the Herald Sun under auditions in the Entertainment section.
If you can't get in a show, work backstage or on a production team. Great fun and you will meet lots of people and get a feel for it.
I think if you have been involved in school productions you will be more than qualified to try out.

Re: Teen- where to start?
hey,
I recomend Players Theatre Company if you live anywhere near Mt. Waverley. I am 15 too and have done 3 shows with them so far. They are great fun to work with and wouldn't mind about experience.
If you go to the links pages of this webpage there will be heaps of sites of amataur theatre groups. Hope I've helped.

P.S. If you want more info my email is da_cutie_is_in_da_house@hotmail.com

Re: Quite quiet and extremely short!
Hi Craig
Not only has naj apparently done a lot of quiet drama but at only 15cm tall, would be particularly difficult to see too I should think! Dare one suggest a spell check or indeed a crash course in spelling and proofreading?

Why, Kerri? What, are you suggesting that actors should actually demonstrate that they KNOW something about language? How old-fashioned and terribly un-SMS of you.
Besides, she'll look much bigger on the telly.
Cheers,
Craig

Re: Quite quiet and extremely short!
Is proofreading really one word? A good proof-reading (with or without the hyphen) would have picked that up.
But hey! I ain't no teacher or nuthin'.

Is it possible to stop clogging up this page with useless messages that have no particular relation to the topic of discussion - Theatre Classifieds.

Re: Quite pointless and extremely shallow
Do any of you guys realise that you have extended the torturing of a poor soul who was probably only having a bad typing day into half a dozen messages?!!!
And here I was thinking that this was a site for people who supported each others efforts and who wish to be seen as credible, as well as perhaps respected and RESPECTFUL actors...
