Voice Classes
Thu, 21 Mar 2002, 11:38 amJulia Moody, Lecturer in Voice at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, is holding Saturday morning voice classes.
I recently had the wonderful opportunity to work with Julia for Twelfth Night in Kings Park. If I had not been able to do so, I doubt I would have been able to be heard by the 500th person up the back, nor would my voice been able to survive six nights a week with no microphone.

117 Angove Street, North Perth
Cost:
CASUAL DROP IN PRICES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
$15.00 Equity Members (Please bring Equity Card for registration)
$20.00 Non Members
Course Duration:
8 weeks, Saturday Mornings - First week has already passed
(Not including Easter Weekend, 30 March 2002)
16 March 2002 - Already held
23 March 2002 - This coming Saturday
6 April 2002
13 April 2002
20 April 2002
27 April 2002
4 May 2002
11 May 2002
Time: 10:30am to 12:00pm
Class Structure:
One hour – voice workout
The voice workout draws on JuliaÂ’s experience working with Patsy Rodenberg and Kristen Linklater
30 minutes – text work (Text provided)
In the text portion of the morning, Julia utilizes her experience working with Cicely Berry. Text examples will be provided.
What to bring:
Wear comfortable clothes
A towel/yoga mat/camping mat
A book to rest your head on during exercises which require you to lie down
