Errr.... are you asking anyone in particular, Kim, or just throwing your question to the universe?
Well, if you don't try, you'll never know, but remember Fremantle is a long way from London.
Good luck

RE: harry potter...is it worth it?
I'm actually just asking anybody Jarrod. I need opinions I know the casting directors address and everything but I dont know if I should try out for it. I have discussed it with my parents and they said if I can get a part then they will be willing to pay for me to travel to England. I know its not actually in London. I dont have much acting experience either. I have been in school plays but usually I'm a dancer but I have just found my love for acting. I believe I can do it and hopefully I can. Are you allowed to create a resume of your own containing details of you?

I know exactly what you mean, but I think you should go for it, if you don't, you'll spend the rest of your life wondering......It may even send you insane!!!
Also, could you send the details of how to get an audition for Harry Potter to me, I wouldn't want to go insane either.

RE: harry potter...is it worth it?
It it worth it? What a silly question! Of course it's worth it, and I'm sure you already know that:)
Any audition or experience you can get in this industry is a plus, I know I've flown myself Over east many a time for that special part, granted an audition for Harry Potter is a lot further away, but the point is most of the fun comes from just going for it.
There's really no point in asking "is it worth it", of course it is!! Especially if you can get your foot in the door and get an audition.
Good Luck.

No, it's a waste of time, you're fooling yourself. Who do you think you are? No chance. Forget it.
...Just paraphrasing some of the best advice ever given to me when I first started acting.
(It counterbalances the enthusiastic encouragement you've been receiving with some harsh stark realism; if you can take a good hard look at yourself, and then say, "@#$! you, Craig...I'll show you!", then yes, I'd say it's gonna be worth it. )
Good luck, grasshopper.

RE: harry potter...is it worth it?
well, i made my decision.....i'm doin it!!!!!!! thanx ppl for ur encouragement! i called the casting director today and i asked her if i could still get a part in the 3rd movie although i'm living in australia and she said yes! but the thing is that they might not make a third movie and that she is still waiting for the answer if she is to start going through the audition process. to the people auditioning do not send ur package to soon, in 2months or so is the best time and if u wanted the address and i gave it to you do NOT send it there because i found out it wasn't real. well, i hope i get the part i want so i can sorta represent us aussies in the harry potter movie!
good luck,
kim

RE: harry potter...is it worth it?
JuSt remember... there will be millions upons millions of ppl auditioning so dont get your hopes up just becoz u got an audition. There will be millions of people around the world auditioning for parts... and they may have been acting all their lives. Its great to see that you are positive.. and there is no reason not to be.. just dont get ure hopes up too much cuz in reality.. not everyones dreams come true and u dont want to have a huge let down in the end..

RE: harry potter...is it worth it?
Dont worry Bek.....I'm really down to earth about this and I dont even know if I'll get an audition. I do know millions will be trying out for the movie. I know it would be really hard to make my dreams come true but hey! I'm gonna try :)

RE: harry potter...it IS worth it!!
Hi!
Like other people that have written in, I would absolutely LOVE any information you could give me about the casting director or numbers to call, anything! I, myself, am an aspiring actress with only the smallest amount of experience under my belt. I have been looking for a chance like this for a long time!
It also helps that I love everything to do with Harry Potter!
I would really appreciate any thing you could give me!
Thanks soooo much and good luck!
My email is: louiegal@start.com.au
I don't know what will happen, but I just want a chance.
Thanks heaps,
Louisa
