youth theatre company needs you
Fri, 11 Jan 2002, 01:33 amPear Shaped Theatre is soon to be Perth's newest youth theatre company, applying for incorporation in February 2002 as a non-profit organisation. PST hopes to work with a variety of performance forms and techniques, as well as being involved in other activities including workshops, discussions, playreadings, theatre sports, etc.
Activities over the next few months will include street theatre, a fundraising cocktail party on the night of the Academy Awards, and an original theatre production for children called "Ever So Clever". A mid-winter Shakespeare production is also on the cards.
Right now though, we are putting together the founding Management Committee. We're looking for people from all backgrounds - theatregoers, theatre students, writers, designers, techies, directors, performers, academics, anything!
If you're interested and you're willing to volunteer some time to help us make Pear Shaped Theatre a brilliant success, then check out http://www.pearshapedtheatre.com for contact details or write to pearshapedtheatre@hotmail.com
