actor/singer/dancer - work wanted
Mon, 24 Dec 2001, 02:42 pmHi, my name's Bernie. I've been trying to get into acting for a few years now (currently aged 17, look aged 15-18). I'm happy to do pretty much anything. I can sing any style (approximately middle B to opera soprano), and have had proffessional training in pop/rock/ballad singing and dancing (MSJ Productions, 2 years). I just completed year 12 at Rossmoyne SHS, including TEE Drama Studies, and am deferring from university in 2002. I have quite a bit of stage experience in all performance aspects, but none professionally.
I would like to work as a professional, but amateur is okay. All auditions responded to.

I am presuming that you live somewhere around the Rossmoyne area. There are at least four local amateur companies ( out of a total of 35 metro clubs) in the southern region.
They are: Melville Theatre Company, Harbour Theatre in Fremantle, Old Mill Theatre in S. Perth and Canning Amateur Theatre Society (CATS) in Cannington. All of them welcome people of all ages who are willing to join and get involved. THeatres need technical people as well as actors.
Auditions are advertised in the Auditions or What's On sections of this site so keep looking.
Harbour have got auditions coming up on Jan 9th for a comedy 'A Toe in the Water'. Melville will be auditioning for The Rise & Fall of Little Voice about March, Old Mmill for 'Taking Sides' early Feb just to give a taste of what's on.
