Quiz Night (WA)
Fri, 12 Oct 2001, 05:56 pmNo, not a production called "Quiz Night", Blak Yak Theatre is holding a Quiz Night! (DonÂ’t think IÂ’ve seen one of those advertised on this page before.) Yep, we've got a Terry Pratchett show in production, and damned if the director doesnÂ’t want fireworks, magic acts and live elephants (standing on the back of a giant turtle) on stage. Time for some fundraising, methinksÂ….
The Quiz Night will be held at the Function Room of the Perth Football Club, Goddard St, Lathlain, on Friday November 2 (7:00 PM for a 7:30 start). Tickets are $8 per head for tables of 6-8. Tables can be reserved by ringing the Blak Yak booking number, 0500 52 52 59 (cost of a local call).
I know for a fact there are at least, ohÂ…. dozens of you out there who love Quiz Nights, so non-attendance will only be granted upon production of a valid medical certificate. The questions will not ALL be theatre-related and the prizes are not ALL out-of-date pharmaceuticals from a Mt Lawley dispensary.
If you want to see Blak Yak continue to stage the weird @!#$, or, if you couldnÂ’t care less about Blak Yak but just like going to Quiz Nights and picking up free loot, then come along, have some fun, part with your money. One night only! DonÂ’t miss the chance to kick some intellectual butt!

Yes, but "jestfully joked" is also an unnecessarily repetitive overuse of tautology, where both words together each mean equally the same ...!
