Hi. For many of us that have been a kid and stuck in hospital, it is pretty, well, boring. Now, PMH in Perth has all of the Megazone and all of that to keep the kids interested. But how often is it that they get a show to come and visit them?

Now, I am a teenager and interested in a lot of youth theatre. I also like doing stuff for charity and helping people and kids in need. Now here's what I figure: Get together a group of teenager and take a show to PMH for the kids.

Problems come along the way.
1. I need to find someone crazy - no, stupid - enough to want to direct it. I could do it myself but the quality wouldn't be as good and there is no legal person to supervise.
2. Need to find the play. I have a few in mind but the suitablilty of it for younger kids is certainly questionable.
3. I need to find the people. That's not hard.
4. I need to find a venue in which to rehearse this... thing.

All this not to mention funding, permission, royalties and the like.

Now, I am a bit of a dreamer. I get an idea and usually it never happens. But this is an idea that I would love to carry through with because not only is it fuelling a passion of mine and my peers, but it is also helping some people that may have never seen a show at a theatre in their life, or they may never get out of hospital to see some of the great shows the youth of our state can produce. It would though, unfortunately, cause a lot of problems in getting there. The idea is out here for the taking and I would be glad to help in anyway possible if some courageous director steps in and takes what you could call mission impossible, but it's for the kids, and I would hope that someone will.

Cheers
