Tue, 10 July 2001, 03:13 pma group of serious and seriously weird and wired professionals or ameteurs with dedication and skills bringing together their talents to start a small theatre company that produces performance pieces for Brisbane and inter state.

wanting to keep it small tight and keep the drama on stage only. Bringing challenging pieces to stage. Leaving my fair lady at home.
The idea is that why should the good fringe theatre companies only be based in the cities, why can't we make good theatre and take it to the urban centres.

Can you give a rundown of the type of projects you'd like to undertake? I tend to agree that there is no reason for high-quality performing arts to be contained in metropolitan areas and, as I am keen to see local talent make the transition from "amateur" theatre while being able to stay in the Sunshine Coast area, I would be pleased to see a genuine effort made to establish a base for the regions talented performers and tech crews.
Do you have a set goal in mind, or are you testing the waters at the moment?
