Amadeus II - The Wrath of Mozart
Tue, 10 July 2001, 09:44 amTypical. "Theatre Classifieds isn't used much. Lets post a message reminding people about Amadeus there."
And then in a day or so, it gets pushed off the bottom of the page.
Opening night for AMADEUS is tomorrow (Wednesday, July 11).
Kalamunda Performing Arts Centre - only 20 minutes from Perth (10 minutes up Great Eastern Hwy, 10 minutes up Kalamunda Rd). If you've never been to this wonderful venue, here's your chance to sample one of the nicest auditoriums in Perth (okay, it's not quite La Premiere, but still, it's a great venue for an audience).
Come and see the incomparable Eliot McCann as he makes the role of Salieri his own. (If you know Eliot, you KNOW he's good. If you don't know him, just come along to see what sort of esoteric megalomaniac is behind many of the - unconventional - postings on this page.)
Oh yeah, the other cast members are good too, particularly Shenandoah Bruce (Einstein from KADS' award-winning "Picasso at the Lapin Agile") who legally obtained the soul of Tom Hulce in a gentlemen's wager, and Emma Farrell as Mozart's wife, who has to put up with the both of them.
Don't regret missing this show.

RE: Amadeus IV - The Voyage to Kalamunda
In answer to a couple of people who have asked: "Yes, tickets are available at the door," (but it helps us if you can book on 0500-52-52-59 - for the cost of a local call).
And that Amanda Tyler! What a find! One cannot help but think, "Eliot who?" Yeah, yeah, I know heÂ’s got a rep, but what is he playing? One lousy role. Newcomer Amanda Tyler handles more roles and costume changes than Eliot, Shenandoah and Emma put together. And handles them with ease! Where would we be without her?
:-)

i will become a famous playwright! YOU'LL SEEEE!
did i spell sequel right?
in the next blak yak production - Amadeus 2, you will be told the amazing story of three women:
Teresa, Katherina and Constanze.
in this gripping tale we are told of Katherina, who is now carrying triplets to Salieri, Teresa, who is burning up with hate becasue of Katherina and Constanze, who is dying of sphyillis.
because of mentl illness and her blocking of the world, Teresa, gets herself a hot pink cloak(yes), a hot pink hat(yes) and a hot pink mask(YES). and she appears herself to constanze as THE GHOST OF MOZART.
eventually, constanze dies.
when katherina gives birth to triplets she finds out that not one of them look like Salieri, OR Mozart. her three male triplets are the spitting image of: COUNT ORSINI ROSENBURG!!!!! Hawhawhahwhahwhaw! *maniac laughter*
because Teresa thinks that Katherinas childern are courtsey of Salieri, she kills Katherina in cold blood. (cuts her throat, chops her up into litttle pieces and burns her.)
then Teresa dresses up as a man, and fools everyone by becoming: EPMEROR TONY II of Austria.
then in the years to come; the "emporer"(who is really Teresa), of corse, must have children to keep the royal line going. so, the "emporer" seduces nice yopung court compsers and becase everyone thinks the "emporer" is male, they all think he/she is gay.
well, there it is - the sequel to Amadeus.
xxAmanda

RE: Amadeus V - The Magic Flute's Dark Years
Jarrod Buttery deviously scribbled:
Newcomer Amanda Tyler handles more roles and costume changes than Eliot, Shenandoah and Emma put together. And handles them with ease! Where would we be without her?
Where would we be?? Most likely still at the Kalamunda Performing Arts Centre- but it wouldn't be as much fun.
See this show. Not only for Emma, Amanda or li'l ol' me, but for Shenandoah Bruce's exquisite portrayal of the World's Greatest Composer.
See it. Book now. NOW!! I know it's 12.20am but Jarrod won't mind...
Antonio Salieri

i must admit that even at the very first readthrough i heard eliot read and started. i was in awe from the first time i saw him act and still am. Shenandoah to - i saw him the day he auditioned (in his flannel pants) and i said "he's gonna get a role."

Why would I mind? At 12.20 am I was still on the way back to South Geraldton. Or was I still cleaning the dressing room? (Lousy warm props...)

Oh, excellent - more in-jokes.
Let's take into account that 90% of this site's traffic is courtesy of people who are NOT 'Amadeus' cast members. Crazy, but true.

Oh Poor Justin......
Is it all too much for you to take?.
Did YOU ever take into account that you could have posted a message about something else?. These forums are open to anyone to talk about most subjects....just because people are talking about Amadeus is not necessarily a bad thing. Obviously there is not much else to talk about at the moment.
I mean, after all, it is one of the best shows around at the moment........

I agree.
Amadeus is a good quality production. Im a big (albeit closet) fan of Blak Yak. Well done Director and cast.
Why not talk about it? There is absoloutely no reason not to have limitless back and forward of gossip, jokes and asides be they public knowledge or in jokes but is it too much to ask to keep them in the areas that they should be in? Whats gossip for
Its almost as bad as the people who obviously think that we can't read the whole page so they post the same notice in each section!
I scan the gossip and read the posts that i have interest or knowledge in. I like reading reviews and not countless thanks yous and in jokes. I caught heartily sick of Wyrd Sisters and Chicago going on and on about their reviews! They might have been fine shows but enough was enough. And the classifieds and tech talk should be to the point.
Don't we have a gossip section for gossip?
Is it earth shattering if posts are in the wrong place? No but is it so hard to keep some sections trimmed of the excess fat?
