Cryocycle
"This isn't an invasion we're just here to help"
General Mack Shilling

Australia, the future. Resources are at an all time low, and the world is at war over what remains. Australia has invited the USA to help defend its borders from an encroaching Asian threat, but under the command of General Mack Shilling the Americans have proceeded to annex every major Australian town in its path. Shilling, ex oil magnate, ex Australian and all round bad guy, continues to tighten his grip on world resources as he pursues a private agenda.

The only hope for peaceful resolution lies in the mind of Joanna Shant, an engineer with the plans for a new and highly efficient energy source. Actually, the idea isn't new at all, scientists have had the idea for a long time. But only with the advent of war has Joanna been able to escape Shilling's watchful eye to make an attempt at building the Cryocycle.

Together with her journalist friend Simon Decker, they flee Shilling and his loyalist army across the Australian desert. Stricken by hunger, despair and madness, their efforts seem all but vain. In the end, Joanna's invention might be the salvation or doom of humanity.

Cryocycle is a dark comedy and political satire, a humorous poke at multi-national power as well as the self-denigrating Aussie ideal and our fears in the future. Directed by David Ryding and written by Peter Chikritzchs.

Hi David!

My name is Gemma and I'm a graduate of John Curtin College of the Arts from a couple of years ago. I'm turning 19 in a few months and I was wondering if I would be too young to audition.

My Email address is jluxton@ozemail.com.au and I would love to hear from you.

Regards

Gemma
