Policeman Costume - HELP!!!
Sun, 22 Apr 2001, 11:26 pmI am in urgent need of a WA Police uniform (Metro or country will do at this stage) for my production of `Lockie Leonard - Human Torpedo' at Garrick theatre.
If anyone is able to help me, please email, post a message or call my mobile - 041 1101 937.
(I do seem to recall that a production of `The Removalist' just closed at the Hayman theatre - anyone know who was involved in that?)
Thanks,
Kate

RE: Policeman Costume - HELP!!!
Hi Kate,
Just a quick thought - you could try Police community affairs department. They have been known to support productions with this kind of request...the only thing, the police have to be portrayed in a positive light for them to approve. At least this was the caveat last time I needed something from them...may have changed, but I doubt it.
Could ask Perth Theatre Co what they did? Or check with the costume shop in Belmont...
I don't know LLHT, but if the above criteria is satisfied, then they are probably your best bet. Otherwise, if you know a Police officer, best to just ask them privately.
Kindest Regards,
Jason
