RE: Melbourne based Artists

Hi Greg my name is Jarryd Schubach and i am twelve years old.I live in upper ferntree gully and attend Wantirna College.
I participate in every act and performance i can because i love the thrill of having a audience.I came on the internet to find classes or things like this that can help me get in to more acting performances and fuifil my biggest goal in life, which is to get to hollywood and be a star.I know as i am only twelve it will be many years until such achivement is made but i like to set my goals and plan my future.I have no fear of audiences and have performed in front of many people before.I can peforme many parts as changing my voice and personality is one of my many qualitys.I make speaches at school oftenly which i like doing but acting is a love.
The main purpose i am writing to you greg is because i would appreciate if you could help me find good people and classes to help me out.

thank you very much for your time and i hope to be in touch with you in the near future.

yours sincerly
Jarryd Schubach

RE: Melbourne based Artists

Hi Jarryd. Thanks for expressing an interest. It is good to have set such goals for yourself. I was exactly the same when I was your age, and I also know how difficult it can be. I also wish that I knew then what I know now. Unfortunately we only cater for people 18 and over, but what I do recommend is going to a good school and getting some decent training. Probably the best Youth school is St Martins, and while I have never actually been there myself, I have seen the quality of their students. Do amateur, but don't think it will create the brilliant actor in you. it took me years of training to forget all the bad mistakes that I picked up from others. It is good for experience, but if you want to learn how to act, get training from people who know what they are doing, not just people who love what they are doing. If you have any other questions, I'd be more than happy to talk to you. Email me at working_parts@hotmail.com and I will impart as much knowledge as I can to you. Hope this is of some help.
