Man of La Mancha....... being a play within a play, acted out as though it was improvissed, with music and dance thrown in for good measure.
Is performed as a charade ....."an entertainment , if you wish" ....... "at worst it may beguile you", at best it is yours to acheive and be acclaimed by others.

Therefore "since my cast of characters is large, I will call upon all here to enter in, to play whatever roles - " required, that may "lay down the melencholy burden of sanity and conceive the strangest project ever imagined".

So in order to assist this 'Knight-Errant" on his quest
"To dream the impossible dream"
and
"sally fourth into the world to right all wrongs, no longer is he plain 'Alonso Quijana' ......
but a dauntless Knight known as ----
DON QUIXOTE de La Mancha".

So to that end, we require an ensemble company (5 female + 15 male actors) of players, who are prepared to be on stage for upto 2 hours (without interval) treading the boards.
Thus the auditions have to just as imaginative!!!

But first
".....with your permission?,.... may I set the stage"

We are holding a 'pre-audition' on Sunday 11th February at the 'Old Mill Theatre' cnr Millpoint Road and Mends Street South Perth starting at 10am, for want of a better description!

If you wish to have a go, all you have to do is bring along your name, address and disclose what ever other personal details you desire to share with others.

After which there will be a full 'run thru' reading of the script (with music) so everyone can get to know the productiob.
If you already know the show and wish to focus on particular roles or if you don't and would just like to have a shot - you can do.

This should give an insight to the "Man of La Mancha" and an equal chance for everyone.
All scripts and tapes will be supplied, after assesment by the production team, to those required. To allow them to bone-up for the auditions during the following weekend.

If you know/think you can act, sing, dance or would just like the chance - turn up or contact us. (08)93377682 a/h

Auditions on Saturday 17th or Sunday 18th Feb are by prior booking after registration.
