Sat, 14 Oct 2000, 09:47 amTheatre of the Future is pleased to announce the return of Daniele Legler to Melbourne to conduct an 8 day intensive acting workshop in the Michael Chekhov Technique.
Following the fantastic reception at the INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP FESTIVAL 2000, Daniele has been invited back to Australia to enable more people to experience his work and the magic of Michael ChekhovÂ’s vision.
Daniele has developed an 8 day acting workshop intensive based on the Chekhov approach. The course has been created with the intention to de-mystify the acting process and to ignite creative inspiration in professional actors and directors. The course covers such aspects as developing creative imagination, short cuts to role preparation, Characterisation, improvisation and ensemble and in-depth exploration and application of well known Chekhov elements such as “psychological gesture”.
A passionate and successful actor, Daniele has been utilising the techniques of Michael Chekhov for acting and directing in Theatre and Film for the last 15 years. Italian by birth, Daniele was trained at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zurich, Switzerland. Fluent in four languages, and with 25 years stage and film experience, Daniele is currently involved in TV and Film productions in England, France, Germany and Italy.
Daniele comes to Melbourne straight from three sold out Chekhov course in Europe. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to work with one of the worlds leading practitioners and teachers of The Michael Chekhov Technique.
The course starts on the Friday the 27th of October until the 3rd of November 9am – 5pm. Course fee $690, Equity $500.
