I have been contacted by Ms Debbie Barclay who is organising a cabaret-style fundraising evening for the Churchill Brook Family Playgroup on Saturday, July 22nd in Swanview. A couple of local folk musicians have been booked for the evening, and Debbie is looking for two or three or four actors who could come along and stage a few skits and improvise a few routines. Basically Debbie is looking for a couple of actors who can have fun with the audience and keep the evening moving along - banter with the musicians, enliven the crowd, help auction a couple of donated prizes: Dirty Dicks' style, etc.

As a fundraiser for a kiddies playgroup, they cannot pay the actors, but you will be provided with the evening's meal. Although it is a KIDDIE fundraiser, they are aiming at a bawdy ADULT evening (as I said, Dirty Dicks' style). If the idea of a bit of comedic experience appeals to anyone, or if this is the sort of thing that you and a few friends excel in (or have been wanting to try) then please ring Debbie on 9255-2725.
