REPOST: ITAWA Mailing List
Fri, 7 Aug 1998, 12:53 amEvery day brings wonderful new services to the internet, and as soon as possible these are made available on the ITA website.I've been looking for suitable e-mailing list software for a long time. A free service offered by FindMail looks like it will fit the bill. For those unfamiliar with the joys of e-mailing lists, e-mail sent toitawa@makelist.comwill be forwarded to everybody on the ITA(WA) e-mailing list. Replies are automatically sent to the list too.To add your name to the e-mailing list, visit the GreenRoom and follow the very simple instructions near the bottom of that page. (if the GreenRoom looks identical to before, you may need to Reload/Refresh your browser) You will be sent mail with full instructions on how to use the mailing list. The principal advantage of the mailing list over the message boards is that you can send your replies directly to the list without having to visit the website. The disadvantage is that your message is only sent to the mailing list members and will not appear on the message boards to be seen by casual visitors to the website. To help overcome this, all of the posts on the message boards will be sent to the mailing list - so you may want to unsubscribe from the message boards once your mailing list subscription is running.CheersGrant
