URGENT CALL FOR A CLOWN

Due to conflicting commitments, I am currently struggling to find someone to play Feste, the Clown, in Melville's Twelfth Night. Season starts in June (22nd) and rehearsals are due to commence later this month.

Feste is a key character in the play as they sing and riddle their way through the various plot-lines. The ability to sing is essential, although I do not expect star quality. It would also be beneficial if you could play a guitar but this is not essential.

I see Feste as being an energetic character with a playful banter, yet within rests an intelligent and occasionally brooding mind. It is a character actor's role allowing the player the ability to play with impersonations and accents. The character can be either female or male and would be aged between early 20s through to late 30s (stage age.)

If you are interested, the please email labrug.aus@gmail.com ASAP! I am holding an impromptue audition at the end of this week. If you contact me, I will give you details or arrange an alternative.

The downside is that you will have to work with me. ;-)

This is a not-for profit independant production supported by the Melville Theatre, Perth. We are doing it for love.
