You can watch the video and book online here: http://actt.edu.au/the-core-actor About Course Info Sessions The CORE Course Information Sessions are not like any other you will have experienced. They combine a Q&A session with a high-energy acting workshop based on improvisation games and some of ACTTs unique training methodologies (watch the video at the link below to see what this will be like). After your workshop you can ask any questions you need to about The CORE (Part-Time or Full-Time) or any other courses run at ACTT, meet your tutors and ACTT staff members. If you are interested in applying for The CORE you can use the sessions as a selection workshop, for more information on this call 02 9213 4500. There is no need to prepare anything in advance, just come and participate in the fun and relaxed acting workshop and we will invite you to attend a follow-up interview. Book yourself in online here: http://actt.edu.au/the-core-actor About The CORE The CORE is Ausralia’s most comprehensive Certificate III in Theatre and Stage Performance (formerly the Certificate III in Stage and Screen Acting). This all-round foundation course in acting has launched the careers of some of Australia’s most well-known actors, including Socratis Otto (Wolverine, The Matrix Reloaded), George Houvardas (‘Garbo’ in Packed To The Rafters) and Luke Joslin (2010 Greenroom Award Winner for ‘Trekkie Monster’ in Avenue Q). Unlike a series of short courses, the CORE develops integrated skills across a broad range of performance and technical areas for an all-round experience. Students will be taught by a team of Australia’s most dedicated and qualified industry professionals as you enjoy learning about stage acting, screen acting (TV & film), voice and movement techniques along with a small amount of ensemble singing and dance (to help release creativity) and also learn about technology and the business of acting. As people progress through the modules they will be supported by a course supervisor as they learn new and exciting performance skills and build confidence. This culminates in staging and performing the ‘Small Theatre Company Production’ to a live theatre audience. Part-Time or Full-Time options available The CORE has two study streams to suit your schedule: full-time and part-time. The Part-Time course runs for 12 months beginning 18th July 2011 and runs 2 evenings each week as well as one Saturday class each month. The full-time course begins on the 19th September and runs for 4 full days a week for 5 months. About ACTT Based near Central Station, ACTT is a specialised actor training college running part-time and full-time courses, evening and weekend classes for everyone from beginner to advanced level. www.actt.edu.au 02 9213 4500 info@actt.edu.au
