Wig Heads
Wed, 6 Apr 2011, 01:29 pmDoes anyone in Perth know where I can purchase some styrofoam heads to store wigs on? Or what the best way to store wigs is?
I am in desperate need of cleaning out my costume and props shed at school and need to store my wigs.
I would really love to get it done over the holidays :o)
Cheers

Hair Mart maybe? Can find a number of Eastern State and online places, but very little locally.
Maybe call a Wig shop and ask them where they get theirs from?

I have several wigs and
I have several wigs and only one foam wigstand.
A wigmistress at an Opera Co I was performing with told me just to turn them inside out and store in a dry lined box when not needed. They are then able to be styled using the stand when needed for performance.
I also have seen foam wigstands at Spotlight Melville.

Thanks Linds,
That was the other part of my question. I have about 20 wigs to store in a shed type extension on my Performing Arts Centre a lined box is a much more cost efficient way of doing it.
