Director wanted: Molière 2 x short plays in a double bill - French [English surtitles]

Dear Candidate Directors, We are looking to produce a Molière double-bill entirely in original French with English surtitles - from Tues 3 May to Sat 7 May 2011 inclusive [7 shows = 5 evenings @ 8 PM and 2 matinees @ 2.30 PM on the Friday and Saturday] – auditions mid-Feb 2011 [always more female candidates than male attend] and rehearsals 2-3 times a week for 2-3 hours each from mid-Feb to opening. Requirements : - low budget/innovative - follow producer’s guidelines - set must be light and symbolic, as there are issues in the theatre – Collingwood College Theatre - in costume of the era - original French text only - 2 short plays around a 30 minute interval - plays proposed - La Jalousie de Barboullié and Le Médecin Volant - Casts may be interchangeable in whole or in part [same actors play in both] - Fee = $800 to $1,000 inc GST [if applicable].
