Casting Call - The Rag Witch

We are currently casting for The Rag Witch. This is a short film revolving around Marcus, a soldier in the army, who deserts his army unit, after a mission he is on goes horribly wrong. He is searching for the mysterious Rag Witch, who is known for being able to transform an individual’s identity. Marcus must find the Witch, and work with her in order to change his own identity, to escape from the army unit that is now hunting him down, and in the process earn his freedom. We are currently looking for: SOFIA (early 20's). Female lead. Slim and dark haired. Servant to the witch, but trapped in this role. Sharply clever, perceptive. Older than her years. Strong willed and dignified THE WITCH (mid 30's to mid 40's). Female Lead. Sharp featured, and once beautiful appearance, that is now beginning to go to seed. Cunning and manipulative to her own ends, she plays those around her. Formally a woman of position, power, and status, whose situation no longer reflects the person she used to be. KURT (mid 30s to early 40's). Male support. Army lieutenant. A man driven by duty and loyalty to the military. A man of good intentions, restricted by the nature of his position. The film is to be shot in Late May to Early June, around the 25th May – 7th June, over 2 weeks, in various locations around Perth. The exact dates are yet to be confirmed. We are holding auditions for the film on Tuesday May 4th and Wednesday May 5th 2010, from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm. An exact location will be confirmed, along with a time slot to those that respond.
