Choreographer, SM & ASM required for new musical PAID, Gold Coast

Original Musical seeks crew and creative team Limelight is a 2-hour original musical, first performed in the UK in 2004 at the Stag Theatre, Sevenoaks. Set in a private stage academy, it is a story of overcoming the odds, not just in the fickle world of theatre, but in life. At this stage,we are applying for funding for musical to be produced over a 2 week period in June or July 2010, rehearsing and performing on the Gold Coast. To apply for funding, we need a choreographer and stage manager onboard! Show will only go ahead at this stage if we have funding, and the roles below will be paid. There is scope for further performances of this production, and all cast and crew from this production will be given first refusal of their roles for any future production in South East Queensland. Choreographer – required for the 2 week production period plus a weekend of auditions prior to this period. Must have experience of choreography, preferably in musical theatre. Stage Manager – required for 2 week production period. Main duties will be keeping the book and calling the show. ASM – required for 2 week production period. Main duties will be prop work during rehearsals and performances. Props will be gathered before this production period, so you will mainly be looking out for any extra props we may need during rehearsals, and ensuring that any broken props are fixed or replaced.
