Hi, I am a 3rd Year Film & Television Student at Curtin University in Bentley, Perth, directing a very short film project (1-2 minutes) for my course which will require two older male actors to play the roles of 'Jerry' and 'Peter' in a short segment from American playwright Edward Albee's "Zoo Story". The project is focussed on dialogue and the scene will take place on a bench in a park. The role of 'Peter' is described in the original play as: "A man in his early forties, neither fat nor gaunt, neither handsome nor homely." So I'm basically after a male actor aged anywhere between late 20s and early 50s. The role of 'Jerry' is described in the original play as: "A man in his late thirties, not poorly dressed, but carelessly. What was once a trim and lightly muscled body has begun to go to fat... ...he has, to come closest to it, a great weariness." For this character I'm after a male actor aged between mid 20s and mid 40s. A larger build would be preferable, but is not essential. It would not be a paid gig unfortunately, but it would only require one or two rehearsals plus 2 or 3 hours of shooting on a day that suits both actors. If you are interested in this project, or know anyone who would be, please e-mail me on joshmagee@westnet.com.au or give me a text on 0416312501. If you would like to read the original play itself, it is available in its entirety online at: http://cstl-cla.semo.edu/gurnow/lit/albee.htm Thanks! Josh Magee
