Casting Call for 'The Rag Witch'

We are currently casting for The Rag Witch. This is a short film revolving around Marcus, a soldier in the army, who deserts his army unit, after a mission he is on goes horribly wrong. He is searching for the mysterious Rag Witch, who is known for being able to transform an individual’s identity. Marcus must find the Witch, and work with her in order to change his own identity, to escape from the army unit that is now hunting him down, and in the process earn his freedom. We are currently looking for: MARCUS (mid 20's). Male lead. Well built/athletic. A runaway soldier. He is a quiet man, who thinks more than he speaks. A man with a soul. He pursues his freedom. SOFIA (early 20's). Female lead. Slim and dark haired. Servant to the witch. Sharply clever, perceptive. Older than her years. Strong willed and dignified. RAG WITCH (mid 40's to late 50's). Female lead. A sharp featured woman whose appearance has gone to seed; she retains some of her former beauty and bearing. Cunning and manipulative to her own ends, she plays those around her. KURT (mid to late 30's). Male support. Army lieutenant. Average height and build. Blonde haired. He is driven by duty and considers the fulfilment of that duty an honour. ROMAN (early 30's). Male support. A soldier. Very muscular and physically large. The military is his life, his thoughts and his morality. The achievement of a goal will justify almost anything and he is willing to bear these burdens. The film is to be shot in Early to Mid April, around the 5th – 18th April, in various locations around Perth. The exact dates are yet to be confirmed. We are holding auditions for the film on Tuesday March 2nd and Wednesday March 3rd 2010, at Curtin University. Exact dates and times will be confirmed individually with applicants.
