'Muso' - a Short Film Musical in Need of Support
Tue, 13 Oct 2009, 09:32 amPerth based Producer and Director are currently in Pre-Production on 'Muso,' a Short Film Musical. The film, to be shot in late February is the story of Adam, and his roomates Eric and Lacey, both music students, trying desperately to give Adam the confidence and courage to ask out the girl he likes.
The film contains several musical numbers, and is youthful, energetic, and peppy. It is a film that has a little bit of everything, in its music, comedy, romance, and drama!
We are currently in need of support, both financially, and otherwise, to get the project running. Musically we have found composers for all the music, which will be recorded in November. There is however a great opportunity to collaborate between both film and theatrical art forms in creating work that is ultimately a film, but with a wide range of musical theatre influence.
The film has universal appeal due to its fresh and youthful subject matter, and light hearted tone. It is not common to see a short film musical, and this also makes it an interesting experience for all audiences, as well as providing the project some great potential!
Due to the high level of collaboaration and influence between both theatre and film forms in this project, we are looking to collaborate with individuals or organizations interested in backing this project financially. I am happy to discuss further, provide the script, and see how the theatre community can get involved.
I am not just asking for funds here, but ultimately for an individual, group, or organization to act as a Co Producer on the entire project, as well as providing some financial support.
We will also soon be needing a cast with musical theatre experience, as well as singers and musicians, so more information on that soon!
Anyone interested, please contact me on 0413389462, or by email on doshinikit@gmail.com for further information, and the script.
Anyone that is interested in contributing or supporting this project
