Seeking actors for FTI Graduate short film
Wed, 16 Sept 2009, 03:50 pmSet in the 1930's Depression era; George McSweeney is an honest, hard working owner of a confectionery store, along with running his business he is a widowed father to his socially inept son Alex.
Due to economical circumstances, business is bleak at best for George. Developing a 'special sweet treat' George begins to attract the towns rich socialites in, and develops a sturdy business reputation. However one day George realizes he must choose between his business and his reputation or his son.

GEORGE MCSWEENEY (EARLY 40'S)
George McSweeney, is an honest, hard working man who cares for his socially inept son Alex. Appearing as a placid character, many of his snobby customers push George around and try take advantage of him. However over the years George has developed a hidden mean streak, necessity for his survival and his sons. George loves his son Alex, and does his best to provide and care for him.
MRS.WINDSOR (40-55)
Mrs. Windsor is one of George's richest and most frequent customers, she cannot go without her 'special sweet treats'. She is callous, abrupt, snobby and cares little for others. A completely self obsessed witch who talks about herself too much.
MR.GRANGER (35-50)
Mr. Granger is another of George's frequent customers. He is an impatient man, he's a real estate mogul who has worked hard to get where he is in life. His wife is a socialite and he rarely has time for his son. He has expensive taste and enjoys activities most wealthy people enjoy doing such as Polo etc.
