Hello everyone, Just sending up the flares and hoping that I might be able to enlist the help of a make-up artist for an upcoming short film. It is the final element to completing my Masters, and as such there is no pay, but there will be genuines thanks, a bottle of booze (your choice) and of course an end credit. The film itself is a dark but quirky little comedy that is ultimately an ode to one of the greatest horror writers of all time. Please message or email me as soon as possible. Shoot will be commencing in a few weeks. All details will be provided upon request. Hope this finds you all well and many thanks.

Hello

Hello Rita, First and foremost, thank you for your response to my post. The project is a short student film that will be shot in approximately 6 weeks. It is a dark comedy and will be shot somewhat unconventionally - it will be in black and white and will require some purposefully quirky stylistic touches to enhance to general theme of strangeness. Have you had much experience providing make-up for tv, theater of film?

Hello

Thank you for replying. i have had experience in photography, bridal and some fantasy Broadway style and i came thrid in a make up competition in melbourne for Broadway fantasy this year and your project would be a great challenge for me. As long as you give me direction in what you want i will do my research and do concept charts for you to look at and do my practice on some of my models if you are willing to give me a try. I love theater and i have been to a lot of shows and have lots of books with ideas on different make up looks, so let me know, by the way you didn't tell me are you filming in melbourne? regards, Rita

Hello Rita, Sorry for the

Hello Rita, Sorry for the delay in response - it's been mad the past few days. Yes, we will be filming in Melbourne. It's a very small production, with a skeleton crew, and using very low-key locations along with a little studio work. Make-up wise, I'm looking for a style that mirrors Tod Brownings Dracula, or even Tim Burton's Sweeny Todd. Something dark and slightly comical, but not over the top. Do you perhaps have some samples of your work? Some pictures perhaps? Hope you're well.
