WANTED - 6 ACTORS FOR A SERIES OF READINGS OF A NEW AUSTRALIAN MUSICAL.

Auditions are being held for a series of readings of the new musical "Don Claude Devious, Cannibal Rapture". Book & Lyrics by Ryan Letizia; Music by Adam Parsons; Directed by Janine McLean. At this stage, readings will be conducted at the Peter Cannon Performing Arts Centre (St. Joseph's College, Geelong), on Friday nights from July 31 - August 14 from 4 to 8 P.M. DUSTIN: Male, plays 18-25, Jordan's best friend, seeking a Pete Wentz/Gerard Way/Billie Joe Armstrong type with a touch of Danny Zuko from "Grease". FAIRUZA: Female, plays 18-25, Dustin's girlfriend, dark and mysterious, works on her musical while wagging classes, secretly falls in love with Don Claude Devious, think Neve Campbell in "Scream" crossed with Kate Winslet in "Titanic". MODESTINE: Male, plays 35-55, grand villain, headmaster of St. Judith's Boarding School where he plots and schemes to achieve unlimited power, think Vincent Price or Captain Hook/Mr. Bumble/Emperor from "Star Wars" type. GINA: Female, plays 35-65, psychopathic villain waiting to erupt with careful exterior, assists Modestine in his power quest, Patricia Routledge as Hyacinth Bucket type. DON CLAUDE: Male, plays 19-29, either the central villain or hero of the story (depending on one's viewpoint), dark and brooding, along the lines of Sweeney Todd, Batman, or the Phantom of the Opera.
