We really want this project to grow and grow, so that writers can get their scripts out there and actors can experience a real workshop/collaboration process through to performance. It's a great chance to network, and also to see what's currently being written. It's a really interesting night with a great selection of pieces from touching and comical, confronting and heart wrenching. No three hour epics here. Short scenes one after the other and finished in an hour. Last night went splendidly, people went away wanting more, precisely what theatre should be! We didn't get the numbers we should be getting, because we're still at that fledgling stage...people are reluctant to come and see New Things. It's so frustrating.
