Urgently seeking dwarf or short person to play lead role in August production
Sun, 6 July 2008, 03:43 pmYes folks, our search for a dwarf to play a lead role in our forthcoming production (The Giant) at the Old Mill Theatre - August 2008) has to date, been met with nil response from the gallery. I ask you, surely we must have several dwarfs playing parts on a regular basis, or am I being naive, or worse, totally frickin stupid?
I fear if we can't locate a dwarf, that we shall be required to tweak the script to suit an actor short in stature. Worse, could be that we have to pull this play from our production, having only 2 one act plays to bore our audience with. Imagine the RSI we'll suffer writing, 'play cancelled' across 200o DL flyers...the thought of such pain...oh God, where are you when we most need you? Dear community theatre persons, please, please help us in our quest to find the little big man we need. We'll love you for it, and we promise to write nothing but praise for your shows, no matter how crap they may be!
I shall now sit here by the phone, and await the most important call I've waited on in 3 days...with nothing but chewed off finger nails scattered at my feet.......
