Sydney - Roving Character Performers

CASUAL CHARACTER SUIT PERFORMERS Luna Park Sydney’s Showtime Department is responsible for creating an exciting atmosphere throughout the Park for our guests. To do this, we are looking for enthusiastic and energetic Character Suit Performers and Hosts to portray our Roving Mascots, Lunabob and Lunabelle! To successfully fulfil the role, the following skills, attributes and experience are required: •Demonstrated performance expertise; •Ability to physically portray lively, large and exaggerated characters; •Committed to providing excellent customer service; •Possess excellent communication skills; •Ability to perform Dance routines; •Enjoy interacting with children! CASUAL ROVING PARK PERFORMERS We are also currently seeking versatile and talented performers to portray Roving Street Theatre Characters such as Blip and Twerp or Freckle and Speckle, throughout the Park. To successfully fulfil these roles, the following skills, attributes and experience are required: •Demonstrated performance expertise; •Strong improvisational skills; •Ability to develop and perform lively, large and exaggerated Characters; •Ability to portray a variety of roles as either a street theatre performer, a character suit operator or character host; •Ability to communicate effectively to large groups of people; •Ability to perform basic Dance routines. Due to the physical aspect of the roles, you will need to be physically fit to sustain performances, and be comfortable performing inside a character suit. We are looking for committed, punctual individuals who perform well as part of a team ensemble. These roles are best suited to people who display a cheerful, outgoing, and engaging personality. You will need to be available to work Weekends and School Holidays. Casual hourly rate is $19.00 for Suit Performers and Hosts; $21.20 for Roving Atmosphere Characters.
