VOLUNTEER ACTORS REQUIRED - Role playing with the NSW State Emergency Service

WHEN: 26 & 27 July, 2008 and October (TBC)
Saturday 1200hrs - 2000hrs
Sunday 0800hrs - 1400hrs
Volunteers will need to be available from Saturday 26 July, 2008 (mid-morning) to Sunday 27 July, 2008 (mid-afternoon) including Saturday night.
WHERE: Rooty Hill RSL, cnr Sherbrooke & Railway Street.
WHY: The NSW SES are piloting a new training program, Looking After People. The program requires volunteer actors to participate in simulations involving grievance management process, conflict resolution, interviewing techniques and networking. Volunteer actors will be role playing real SES members and will be given briefing cards prior to the event.
BENEFITS: An opportunity to practice your skills in role playing, you will be able to add this activity to your experience history, work with SES volunteers and all meals will be provided from Saturday lunch through to Sunday lunch, including a formal meal at the Rooty Hill RSL on Saturday night. This is the pilot version of the course and it is envisaged that is will run live next year (2009) and this on-going support will be required.
