Auditions for funded short film

Auditions are currently being held for a Link funded production called ‘Tinglewood’, due to be shot in early September this year. The production is a horror film witch is being shot in the south west of WA around Margaret River and Walpole. All of the roles are paid although not highly paid. The roles we are currently seeking are as follows. Sophie (8 years old, female) Youngest in the family and the envy of her older brother Sam. Sophie is treated as a princess by her dad Mike and looks up to her brother despite his dismissive attitude toward her. **as this is a horror film the actress who plays Sophie must be able to scream** Mike (38 years old, male) Father to Sophie and Sam, Mike is a father who means well despite his aggressive parenting of Sam. Although Sophie is Mikes perfect little girl Sam lacks the attributes that Mike wants in a son. Sam is not the sporty or outdoors type and therefore less of a man and a son in Mike’s eyes. Mike has taken his family on a camping trip in an attempt to connect more with his son. Please take note that although there is no excessive gore in the film there are several frightening sequences involving the character of Sophie. While the filmmakers will take great care in the execution of these scenes we need to warn parents of the nature of the film. The majority of the film will all be shot at night and in a forest. Accommodation and travel expenses will be taken care of by the filmmakers. All cast and crew will be staying together in a comfortable house on the property where we will be shooting.
