Improvisation Workshops for Actors

A series of Workshops run by professional actors for professional actors to explore spontaneous improvisation.

For anyone interested in honing their impro skills for:

• Auditions
• Stage work
• Rehearsal techniques
• Improvised work for theatre or television

Workshops will be responsive to participant needs and will cover:

• Impro basics (spontaneity, being present, removing fear)
• Scene work (inspiring your partner, using offers, developing a narrative, playing the moment)
• Character work (discovery through impulse, offers and response)
• Releasing creative blocks (playing the moment with commitment, leaping into the unknown)

When: Wednesday evenings - July 30 - September 3, 2008.
Time: 7.00 p.m. – 9.00 p.m.
Where: The Abbotsford Convent. 1 St Heliers Street. Abbotsford
Cost: $198 (full) and $165 (for Equity members) - both prices are GST inclusive.
