One of our male actors has pulled out of the below production due to personal reasons. We need to fill this role with the next 48 hours. Please contact the Director Michael Edgecomb immediately on 0413 091 714 if you are interested. The role is physically, emotionally, and psychologically challenging. It is not light hearted. The successful actor must have no fears on stage, and must be up for the challenge, especially being 5 weeks out from the 08 Fringe. Fat Lip Drama Presents X-STACY As part of the 2008 Adelaide Fringe Festival In 2008 Fat Lip Drama and Director Michael Edgecomb bring you Fat Lip Drama’s brand new production of Margery Forde’s X-STACY as part of the 2008 Adelaide Fringe Festival: Feel the pain...she’s dead. Cause...drug overdose. Left behind...mum, brother, others. When Ben initiates his sister Stacy into the world of dance parties, the experience is ecstatic, but when her drug taking spins out of control, the consequences for Ben and his mother are devastating. Out of a plot which deals with miscommunication, manipulation and misdirected loyalties, emerge things of spiritual fulfilment, negotiating pathways between new moralities and the paradox of loneliness within the tribe. X-STACY will take an audience outside of their comfort zone, make them feel uncomfortable, show them the destructive effects of drugs, and powerfully make them feel the reality of drugs. X-STACY features a brilliant young cast (18-20) who will push the boundaries of modern theatre, giving you not a show, but an experience. X-STACY opens at The Lipodome (147-149 Hindley Street) on Friday 22nd February 2008, and runs every night of the Fringe except Mondays. X-STACY previews at The Lipodome on the 20th and 21st of February.
