Classical Ballet Teacher

Elancé Adult Ballet School is looking to add a committed and passionate teacher to its teaching staff at two of its Melbourne locations. Teaching adults is extremely different to teaching children. The ideal teacher is mature, stable, and driven to share their love of ballet with others. He/she is able to create a friendly and enjoyable class atmosphere whilst upholding the professional standards appropriate to the art form. A teacher of adult ballet understands that the students in his/her class have different aspirations and priorities to younger students, and an appreciation of the difference must flow through into the teaching style. Elancé conducts classes at many levels, catering for students who have not previously studied ballet, to experienced dancers. All classes are open classes so the successful applicant will be comfortable teaching non-syllabus work. Previous applicants need not apply.
