Just Keep connin them

The going pay rate for a Father Christmas is $50.00 per hour for anything up to 6 hours work. For half hour appearance it's $100.00 Xmas day it's $150 - $500 per half hour depending on the client. Anyone that is paying less is ripping you off!!!

Thanks very much for your

Thanks very much for your feedback, the actual rates that clients are paying is considerably less than $50 an hour, and this is not just our clients, this is Westaff and other major suppliers. Then we have to factor in the cost of training and costumes etc.

It's Market forces is it?

I find it very hard to believe that any agency is actually charging clients less than $50 per hour for supplying a father christmas. So why don't agencies offer their clients the services of professional actors who are trained in and have undertaken years of roaming as well as static Father Christmas work? The have their own costumes and require NO training. My suspition is that certain agencies are a little more concerned about their profit margins rather than offering the client a professional performance with a seasoned practioner. My previous statement still stands - you are not offering a rate of pay that is comensurate to the skill level of the performance required! Sure if you want to pass off some inferior doddering grandpa as Father Christmas that retuns more profit to you - by all means go ahead, it's a free market after all. Pay peanuts and you get monkeys!
