Seeking actors for a short film
Wed, 3 Oct 2007, 08:39 amTo whom it may concern,
We are looking for actors, two female and one male, between the ages of 20 and 35 to be in a short film for a Sydney student. We are keen to get in contact with any actors who don’t mind doing unpaid. The film would be shot over 1-2 days in the following weeks. If you would be able to help us get in contact with anyone that fits this description it would be greatly appreciated. I have included a copy of the synopsis and character description for the film.
Kind Regards,

SYNOPSIS:
This story is a drama about Susan, a thirty something business woman, who arrives at an apartment building where her husband is located. Susan sets out to enter the building; however her emotions at times get the better of her and make it a difficult task. After witnessing her husband with another woman threw a window, Susan is tempted to leave. The story is concerned with emotions and how they dictate how the protagonist acts.
The story is structured around the concept that we are leading the audience to believe that the protagonist’s husband is having an affair. However it is not till the end that this is turned on its head when it is revealed that Susan is at the building to attend dance lessons. The story resolves itself when her husbands takes her hand and leads her out onto the dance floor.
The story takes place around an old converted apartment building. The objective of the story being set around such a building is to help strength the idea that the wife is about to confront her husband about an affair. This setting also makes the conclusion plausible, that it could be a building converted for the purpose of dance classes.
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS:
The protagonist SUSAN is a woman in her mid thirties. She is dressed in business attire which is disheveled to give the appearance that she has been at work all day. As a working mother, she has minimal make up on her face and her hair is pulled back into a practical style.
Her personality is of someone who is unsure of themselves. Throughout most of the story she appears to be nervous and fidgets with her cloths and hair. However at the resolution of the story when she sees her husband coming towards her, her whole persona picks up and Susan becomes more confident.
The HUSBAND in contrast to Susan is an entirely different character. In his early forties, he gives off the aura of being cool, calm and collected. The husband at all times appears strong and in control and is meant to contrast the character of his wife.
The Husband is dressed in suit pants and a shirt with sleeves that are rolled up.
The YOUNG WOMAN is in her early twenties and beautiful. She had a full face of make up and her hair is well groomed. She wears a red cocktail dress and high heels. She gives of an appearance as being sweet but with alluring undertones.
