DANK Films is seeking actors for its upcoming feature length thriller, BAD HABITS. ***** SYNOPSIS Sister Marie Fenche is a very troubled young Nun. Though sophisticated and beautiful she has a dark past that has left her cynical, anti-social and with a growing addiction to pain killers. By day she volunteers at a hospital but by night she roams the streets in a hallucinatory daze barely able to tell what’s real from what’s not. One evening Marie bumps into a handsome stranger named Bishop. Charismatic and successful, he seems like the perfect man and she falls for his charms immediately. There’s only one problem. Marie knows she’s met Bishop before and she knows he was murdered. She should know. After all, she killed him. By turns surreal, scary, sexy, grotesque, funny and strange, Bad Habits promises to be one of the most hip, unique films you’ll ever see. CHARACTERS MARIE mid 20s – mid 30s. On the surface Marie is beautiful, sophisticated and intelligent. Underneath though, she is an increasingly troubled character. An addiction to pain killers and a naturally anti-social nature see her alienating all those around her while her self destructive ways lead her into increasingly dangerous situations. Tall, dark, with a European accent. A complex, sharp tongued, cynical character. JAMIE early – mid 20s. Intelligent and serious minded, Jamie is Marie’s only friend. Though younger and less worldly she nonetheless acts almost as Marie’s keeper. However, as the story progresses we realize that perhaps even Jamie has a dark side. Petite, dark, with a deceptively innocent manner. JAMES BISHOP 30s. A charismatic stranger Marie encounters during her nocturnal wanderings. Sophisticated, handsome and possibly dangerous he confusingly appears to Marie in several guises: from a successful business man to an out of work actor. MICHAEL mid 20s – mid 30’s. A stoner of long standing Michael is unkempt and intensely relaxed. Wearing a dressing gown like a uniform, he rarely strays from his home. ***** Auditions are to be held on the 5th through to the 22nd of May, 2007 in Melbourne, Victoria.
