THEATRE PROGRAMME GIVEWAY
Fri, 16 Mar 2007, 11:33 amI have scores of Theatre Progammes collected over approximately 30 years for shows (musicals, drama, comedy and opera) in London, New York, Melbourne and Sydney which I no longer have room to store. Sadly I must now part with these and before they are recycled as paper waste is there anyone who would like to have them? I live in Manly, Sydney. My email - parfair@aapt.net.au - Approximately three (3) large cardboard cartons in total.

It is always worth
offering collections of this kind to State reference libraries for their ephemera collections. I would like to offer this as a suggestion to anyone out there with similar collections.
In SA we also have the Performing Arts collection based at the Festival centre who are interested in SA based material.
NEVER THROW IT AWAY, ITS AN IMPORTANT PART OF SOCIAL HISTORY.
Is that all there is? Well if that's all there is my friend, then let's keep dancing.

You should check out any
You should check out any second-hand stores in your area; there are always plenty of stores that sell collectibles/second-hand books (quite often second-hand bookstores will sell programs) and I'm sure they would be interested in buying them. If not, why not donate them to an op-shop or a local theatre group. I've often seen programs in op-shop book sections...
Plus there are plenty of collectors out there, so you could always try and sell them on Ebay or Trading Post.
