Discover Your Voice When: Tuesday and Wednesday nights (6pm to 8pm) Fee: $35 per workshop Introductory Workshops will be held on March 20, 22, 27 and 28. This will serve as an introduction to the ten-week course commencing in Term 2 (April 13, 2007). This workshop aims to give participants some insight into working with the voice for spoken word and singing for use in different areas of Performance, for example, from Theatre to Music Theatre to Voiceover and Film. Jennifer aims to guide people to discover and free their own natural and true voice as a basis from which they can then work in the performing directions they choose, or to which they are best suited. Jennifer's basis is classical singing technique merged with the experience of finding her own voice over the years as a singer in pop music and as an actor in theatre, voiceover, film and TV, in addition to integrating some of the Kristen Linklater technique. Teacher: Jennifer left Australia in 1980 to train as an Actor in Paris, Ecole Jacques Lecoq, Ecole Phillippe Gaulier/Monika Pagneux. Simultaneously, she began Classical Singing training on a private basis, starting in Paris then continuing in London, and finally Cologne, Germany. Based in Cologne, Jennifer worked in Theatre, Voiceover, Film and TV as well as in the music industry as a Singer doing session work and live gigs of her own music project. The last four years before returning to Melbourne in 2003, were spent in Jamaica where she continued working as an Actor and Singer with various Jamaican musicians. Jennifer began teaching Voice in 2000. Since returning to Melbourne, Jennifer has been working as an Actor and Singer in various productions, teaching voice, and working on her own album with Joe Camilleri as her producer.
