Burlesque / Cabaret Introductory Workshops

Burlesque / Cabaret - Discover and develop your unique burlesque/cabaret character... When: Monday and Thursday nights (6pm to 9pm) Fee: $50 per workshop Introductory Workshops will be held on March 19, 21, 26 and 28. This will serve as an introduction to the ten-week course commencing in Term 2 (April 13, 2007). This course aims to develop the necessary skills in voice and movement required for stage. Using these skills the student will be encouraged to begin to create and discover their unique burlesque/cabaret character. Characters will be further enhanced and developed through improvisation. Teacher: Willow J Conway completed an Ad. Dip. in Acting at the Centre for the Performing Arts (Adelaide) in 2001, and has since been working extensively in Theatre, Film, TV and Performance Art. She is a founding member/performer/director of the nationally acclaimed, 2006 award winning burlesque troupe the Voodoo Trash Dolls. Willow is currently writing her first feature film.
