Public liability insurance for one off productions
Sun, 21 Jan 2007, 08:03 pmAdvice sought on taking out (public liability) insurance for one off productions or for a specific number of events. I have received some literature from insurers, but I find it somewhat confusing... all, or any advice from those who've succesfully crossed this mine field would be gratefully received.

I'm not sure where to go in
Tue, 23 Jan 2007, 06:16 pmI'm not sure where to go in other states, the only insurers I know of are Duck for Cover and Community Insurance (the latter is only VIC I think, but check anyway). The former don't do one-off events, but their insurance is cheaper than any policy I've found for one-off events - so it works out.
It also depends on what you need the insurance for - holding parades or fairs? Pyro? Plain theatre? Teaching? These will all change the cost (and availability) of a policy.
