Memories of Pioneer Village Theatre

PICCADILLY shouted:
> THEATRE FOR LEASE OR SALE
> LOCATED IN PIONEER VILLAGE ARMADALE PERTH

This brings back memories! I remember working as a street performer down in Pioneer Village and performing three sketches a day on this stage. Started out doing some puppetry work there with late, great George Fay of Four Kinsmen fame. Venue had a flat foor with raised stage. The stage is small with very little wing space. With a little imagination this could be turned into a great little space.

Cheers
Grant

I happen to know of some

I happen to know of some Perth Amateur Theatre people who would love to get their hands on a venue like this. It may be outside of people's price range but what if an industrious group got together and co-purchased or leased it, and we could have our own theatre venue where shows that don't necessarily fit into the typical production schedule of a regular amateur theatre could be put on? This is just food for thought. Cheers Christine Ellis

what progress?

I'm in the wrong state (SA). Does anyone know if anyone has contacted the owner and is about to "walk in"? Too good an opportunity to miss by the sound of it. Am deeply envious, seriously contemplated upping sticks and heading west! Rapunzel "Papa, where is Mama? They tell me she has gone away, where is she?"
