"The Late Night Film"
Fri, 22 Sept 2006, 08:01 pmWe are looking for an Asian actor/actress to play a bit part in a graduate film for Swinburne University - School of Film and Television.
The part is that of a confectionary store owner, either male or female, between the ages of 35 and 75. An actor/actress with a good sense of physical expression would be highly regarded.
Although the role is a fairly small part (the character only appears in 3 or 4 scenes) it is a speaking role and it's likely the actor/actress will only be needed for one evening between the dates of the 28th of September and the 3rd of October.
Film Synopsis: When two young night dwellers cross paths one night, they are drawn to each other through the loneliness and dissociation each feels towards their environment. Set almost entirely in the urban night, the film’s narrative is flavoured with alcoholism, awkward romance and fluorescent lights.
The film is to be shot on high-definition video and exhibited publicly at the Swinburne Graduation Screening. In addition to this, it will be entered into film festivals both locally and abroad.
Unfortunately we cannot afford to pay members of the cast, however for actors/actresses who are looking to add to a show-reel or portfolio we can offer a copy of the film and hopefully exposure through public screenings of the film.
Interested actors/actresses contact Geoff Langford, the producer, with their CV (or just an expression of interest) and headshot at:

Thank You.
