Indie Film Looking For Musical
Wed, 2 Aug 2006, 12:09 pmI am currently producing a no-budget feature-length film in Melbourne. As one of the scenes in the film is set on stage during a musical, I am looking for a musical production with an ensemble cast who would be willing to let us film one of their musical numbers with one of our actors.
The scene needs to look like it is an actual performance, so it would be great if we could film a full dress rehearsal. The filming should take no longer than a half an hour, and needs to be done anytime this year.
I realise that this is a big ask during the most stressful phase of a production, but if you're interested in being in an indie Australian comedy, please contact me and I'll send you some more details and a synopsis of the film.
Thanks,
Paul

Has this film been cast yet?
If not, could you post an email address to send resumes to?

Copyright
I realsie that this comes up a lot but have you thought of the copyright implications of filming a musical. I am not sure that the 10% rule would apply in this case, it is after all more a guideline than a rule.

Yes, we do actors to act -
Yes, we do actors to act - as opposed to re-wire my house, in which case I would call an electrician.
And actors who act are encourage to call or e-mail people in the original post because that's how you're going to get cast; we gave up searching through thousands of posts of hopeful wannabes years ago.
